3 Google Tools To Learn More About Your Target Audience

Updated: May 15, 2021

Google offers many tools for businesses, and many you never use them or never heard of them. We'd like to tell you how Google can help you learn about your potential customers and build your marketing strategy without missing your target.

Google Trends

Google Trends is a great tool to learn what are the hottest topics currently in the world, or your country, or your city. Why do you need that information? To write relevant blog posts, create page titles, social media posts, and develop new keyword ideas. If you are selling products - you can see what is trending in your specific industry. In the example below, we are looking for trends in "web design". We can see that most of the people requesting info about web design are located in New York. Why don't we focus on New York for our next social media campaign?

Another thing we can see is that GoDaddy is growing in demand. Knowing that we can write a blog article about GoDaddy hosting services or their website builder.

Google Surveys

It would be nice to go out there to your target audience and have a conversation with every potential customer on their opinions and preferences, wouldn't it? Google Surveys can make it happen. All you need to do is create questions you'd like to ask your target audience, specify location, demographics and start your survey.

Google Shopping Insights

A valuable tool for these having or starting an e-commerce business. You can learn insight into top brands in your industry, demand by region, product type, or season. You can use Google Shopping Insights for your physical location too to learn about demand around your store. If you choose the "mobile" filter - you can see what products are trending in search requests made from mobile devices around your location.
